Collection: School Groups

The Tongariro National Trout Centre offers engaging, curriculum-aligned education experiences for school groups of all ages.

Our programmes are tailored to support classroom learning and can be adapted to suit your students' needs and learning objectives. Topics may include freshwater ecology, macroinvertebrates, trout biology, and the unique relationship between native flora, fauna, and aquatic environments. Students can also explore our native fish species and gain insight into conservation and environmental stewardship.

we also offer hands-on experiences such as fish feeding and school fishing packages (subject to availability).

Whether you're planning a focused learning visit or a broader environmental experience, we're happy to work with you to design a programme that fits your group.
